82 homes... Out of 175,000, it doesn't sound like much. In a vacuum, however, that's a lot of families. It's a few neighborhoods. I mean, it's important to see both sides. Seeing that 00.05% of all the homes lost have been rebuilt shows you that there's an incredible amount of work to be done. Seeing that 82 homes have been remade, families have been able to move back in, and communities are slowly crawling back to life should be a reminder that, despite the vastness of the challenge, something is, indeed, being accomplished.

Bar none they are the most obnoxious fans. Except for maybe, MAYBE, my friend John. But as a Red Sox fan, even he can be obnoxious at times.

I would love nothing more than to see the Rockies take the series. My fingers are crossed, and I'm sayin' a prayer.

I suppose you're right, though there's something very special about Chelsea supporters that irks me. But I have to say, Chelsea and the Red Sox were just as easy to ignore prior to their improvement. So maybe Red Sox fans were annoying then, but I could pretend they didn't exist. Now, such a feat is impossible. There was one under my bed this morning when I woke up; it's like shooing away feral animals. They are absolutely worse than Yankee fans, I couldn't agree more.

Personally, using my American bias, I would argue that Red Sox fans are worse than Chelsea fans. First, there's more of them. Second, as annoying as the London accent is, it doesn't hold a candle to the language murdering tones of the Boston whine. Third, Chelsea had to get good to become annoying. Red Sox fans were obnoxious in the 1990s when they weren't winning anything, and they're multiplied like rabbits now that they win. They're worse than Yankees fans.

This said, I kinda like the team. Would rather see the Rockies win, but only slightly so, at this point.

The current gutting status quo is not only Don't Open, it's Duct-Tape Shut. Part of the gutting process is pulling it out from the wall and have people pass around a roll of duct tape between 5 and a dozen times. But I tend to agree with you, even though my girlfriend's Mom has planted a fear of Hantavirus in my head.
